Now windows 8 is out, and is very different from previous windoze,
I was wondering where Gnome will get their ideas from now?

My money is they'll look to their wrists and get 'inspired' by their tablets or phones

I thought Gnome 3 was going that way? Isn't the menu now full-screen?

Wasn't Windows Vista inspired by Gnome 2 + Compiz ?
( Or whatever the 3D stuff was named 7? 9? years ago.)

And :
Skilled developers do not necessarily have use ideas invented by others,
but can often invent something unique themselves.
