The file or folder does not exist!
When I try to delete a semi-downloaded corrupt file and its .part file from the desktop in KDE it gives this error. I am using Slackware 12.1 with KDE 3.5.9. How can I fix this without rebooting or killing X?

If you're sure, it's really there: open a kterminal and cd (change directory) into the folder and rm (remove) the file by hand. Check with ls -al first, if in doubt.
Deleting via file manager is just a fancy, visual way to remove a file under Linux. |
