terminal seems locked up for regular user

Hi guys! Everything were ok with my konsole(x terminal) until today. Something is really strange with my konsole and I don't have any idea what went wrong..

It works fine when I log in as root and then fire up my X window then tried the konsole.. but as regular user when I try using the konsole nothing seems to happen as it is locked up. I get no prompt and I can't do anything as typing a command or anything... What is wrong with my konsole? Im using Konsole 1.5.1 (KDE 3.4.1)

I would suggest creating a new user and seeing if that user has a problem as well. If not, maybe something in your .bashrc file is hanging. If you have an rpm based system, you can verify the kdebase package:
rpm -V kdebase3-3.4.1

I already have tried creating new user but still the problem persists.. only root can access the konsole with no problems. I haven't tried checking my kdebase though... I will try that tomorrow.. Thanks and will keep you updated..
