suspend to ram distro or kde issue (battery monitor)

Hello, I am running Linux Mint 11 with Kde 4.6.2. When i close the lid of my laptop, my computer suspends to ram, (actually works!) when i resume, if i check the battery monitor it reports the wrong percentage. The hours are fine, it's just the percent. I am unsure if this is a kde issue, or a mint issue. It works right on start up; it only messes up after suspending to ram, i haven't checked suspending to disk.

Maybe ACPI needs to be kicked awake. I have a netbook in the house that messes with the battery state (Ubuntu, not Mint). I do the following;'cat /proc/acpi/battery/BAT1/state'.
After which things "just work". Worth a try, cost nothing.
