SUSE 10 Installation problem.
I'm trying to install SUSE Desktop. I put the .iso DVD in my cd drive and re-boot. The computer re-boots and goes to the installation options screen I choose any option and the the kernal status bar hits 100% and then the computer freezes and the monitor has no signal. Please help!
I had the same exact problem, both with a dvd from Linux Pro Mag, and a dl'd iso (Always said some packages were not found on the media and had already deleted needed packages so reinstall) I fell back to an old copy of 10.0 Suse and it runs great. EXCEPT... I cannot allow the Kernal update to run or the system gets to reboot and cannot find initrd. I would suggest finding 10.0 if you can and waiting for SuSE to check that support BTW this is with the x86_64 version of SuSE 10.1

I have to appologize, I really only understand bits and pieces of that. I'm extremely new, as in, no linux experience what so ever. If you could dumb that down at all, I would be greatly apreciative.
