I found a config file in KDE that allowed me to change "true" to "false" to keep Korganizer Reminder Daemon from starting in the system tray when Kontact was opened.
I finally had time to erase Windows off my laptop harddrive and "apt-build" Debian/KDE on the whole harddrive
Now I can't find the file changed ? I've hunted all through the home/.kde dir's and nothing ?

You need to run the app once to create the entries you need in the .kde/share/config/korganizerrc file.
Thanks, but that's not it.
I can't find it on the backup, all files have the same modified date, and I used nano to edit the file, so there's no auto backup like with kate/kwrite/kedit.
If I remember right, it was in xml format.
Still hunting, and wishing the KDE crew would have left an easier way to just disable it completly (just my pet peve).

No, I don't remember exactly what the line was or which dir/file, just that it was "false/true" option towards the end of the file. There were several KDE/Konqueror hidden options.
I looked for recently modified file, but all files have the same date (date copied to backup drive).
Adding a "killall" command to an e-mail account kills it, however checking mail again without closing Kontact gives an error message.
