Sound not working in my desktop

Hi
There is no sound in my desktop in which i have installed ubuntu 7.04
it is able to detect the sound drivers but no sound is coming from the speakers connected.

sound driver is HDA-INTEL 82801G(ICH7 FAMILY)

Can anyone please help me...

As per the site rules, please only post a question in one forum.

Use alsamixer (or kmix or...) to make sure that there is nothing muted.
