Some questions about XFCE 4.4

On my desktop are four Icons. Home, File System, Trash, and Home. I already figured out how to have the system hide the first three, but I'm not sure how to do it with the second home. It seems to be a desktop configuration file. I can't hide it by going through the settings menu or by putting a . at the beginning of the file name, I just get the error "Invalid key name: URL[$e]".

Also, is there a way to modify the highlight color?

One other minor question. When using Konsole in XFCE instead of seeing my system name and directory like in Gnome and KDE, I instead see "bash-4.1$". Why does it do that? Is there any way to get it to display my system name and current directory?

Hello,

You can delete the second home icon. If thunar doesn't allow you to delete it for some reason (PENIS), you could try using the terminal to delete it.

About modifying the highlight color - unfortunately XFCE doesn't have the ability to let you make custom colour schemes, so you'd probably have to edit your gtk theme manually.

Thanks for the insight. Out of curiosity, what is the second Home icon even for? Also, I'm using Xfce4-volumed so that I can control my volume with my keyboard. However, after a little while, it stops working. I can still manipulate the volume from the mixer but not my keyboard. Only way I know of to fix it is to restart my system.

Actually I just figured out what caused Xfce4-volumed to stop working. It stops whenever I turn on NumLock, and works when I turn it off. Why in the world would NumLock cause it to stop working?
