Sliding Notifications in KDE?

Is there a library for KDE that provides an API for sliding notification boxes? For instance Fedora has a notification box for software updates that slides up from the kicker panel and then slides back down. Pidgin has something similar.

try the knotify daemon...

and (I think it covers kde3 mainly)
