slackware 12 kuickshow image problem
kuickshow is not showing images correctly at all. I use Slackware 12 with Kde 3.5.8 and kuickshow 0.8.13 on a macbook and all other programs I've tried worked fine; kuickshow shows correctly images in preview, but when it comes to show them bigger (fullscreen or windowed it's the same) the only thing it shows is some kind of "artwork" made of casual horizontal lines.
Sometimes image doesn't change even when switching file. In this moment it has shown me my Firefox tab bar (which was in another desktop), same size, same tabs, with many other "lines" completing the image. I tried recompiling and reinstalling from source found on the dvd (Slackware-current) but got the same. Any suggestions? |
Try running kuickshow from a console:
$ kuickshow and see if it spits out any error messages, either at startup or when you run into problems. It may give some clue as to the source of the problem. Also, do other imaging apps render OK, eg. gwenview or gqview? |
running it from console it spits out nothing. no message at all. Other programs like GQview or kview or gimp have no problem loading images, simply they do it slower :)
