Screenshots / Screen Recordings Do Not Work with FreeNX Remote Sessions

I am having an issue when using FreeNX to remotely connect to Linux machines where I am unable to take a screenshot or take a screencast / recording (using Istanbul or Wink). Instead of what I record, or the screenshot, it just shows as being blank. I have hope for getting this to work, however, because I have successfully used FreeNX to take a screenshot and recording in Fedora Core 5 (on a Gnome desktop) over FreeNX.

I have been unsuccessful so far in getting this to work in Fedora with XFCE desktop, Ubuntu and Xubuntu. (I really would like to use this with an XFCE desktop, preferrably Xubuntu, if not though Ubuntu would still be good). I am open to using other distros as well and will be testing this on others since I don't want to use Fedora. This has to be some dependency or other problem since it works in Fedora under Gnome but not the others. If you have any ideas on this I would appreciate your input.
