screen resolution problem

hi,

Hi all,

i had the same problem for can't change display resolution. i was using MSI K9NGM3 mother board and monitor viewsonic vp2030b. i was installed fedora 11 os then i try to change resolution system->preferences->display-> show unkown monitor and showing default 800x600 only but i edit page /etc/X11/xorg.conf mode 1600x1200.but did'nt apply can u help me any to pls.

try to use this command

system-config-display

Which graphics card / chip is used ? ?

The command : lspci -v | grep -iA 1 vga
.... will show the info.
