Lightbulb Save Desktop Session Prior to Shutdown

Hello!

Does anybody know a good way to save a desktop session prior to shutdown? I have 8 virtual desktops and my PC goes through a forced network shutdown once a week. It's quite annoying to re-open windows in the exact same place every week, so I was wondering if it would be possible to save the session and then open it back as it was prior to the shutdown. I have been thinking of writing a script to open all my windows (as it takes me a while), but if there is a way to save a prior session and reopen it that would be much better.

Thanks!

If you are using KDE there are options in System Settings (Configure Your Desktop)--> Advanced--> Session Manager.
