I am trying to Linux installation on ACER Power Series with Intel chipset, of G31M2-FVI MSI motherboard with SATA Hard disk and SATA DVD Combo drive. BIOS has SATA controller option ebabled with only: *IDE* After booting through the CD, at the point of *Installation Method*, it asked "What type of media contains the package to be installed ?". I selected 'Local CDROM'. It showed:*'No Driver Found' * Unable to find any devices of the type needed for this installation type. Would you like to manually select your driver or use a driver disk ?
I tried with different SATA drivers given in the driver list. But nothing is compatible. Unable to proceed with the installation. Please give us the solution.
