Samba disconnecting frequently in linux.....

i mounted the windows7 machine file to my Linux machine using the samba...

but it is disconnecting frequently i use the below command to mount windows file....
sudo mount -t cifs -o user=administrator // /common1

User is just transferring 30MB of file from Linux to windows7 getting disconnected....

Please help me on this.....

You really posted this in the wrong forum. You probably want this problem to go to Linux - Networking. Much better chance of a response there. Also, try to be specific about the problem. For instance, they will need to know if the file transfer stops after so many megabytes or does it stop immediately, can you see the drive? - all that.

firewall, Linux as host

Make sure both firewalls are set up correctly. That's a common problem with networking, of course, but I've never seen Samba dropping like that.

You could also try setting up the Linux machine as the host rather then the client. I've had more success that way myself.
