Question about audio


On my system (Gentoo) I've two audio card (VIA and SoundBlaster). This is the output of "aplay":

$ aplay -l

I do not have your hw and am not a sound guru but the short answer is each is a pin that could be used by a sound server or mixer to enable certain features....it is not the same as connectors but connectors are eventually used to get sounds in or out.
