Qt problems


Howdy. Im trying to install Ktorrent (anyone know other torrent programs?). Didnt have gcc, got it. Next didnt have g++, got it. Now my

I installed this--it took a long time first ¨configure¨ then ¨gmake¨ then ¨gmake install¨--qt-x11-opensource-src-4.1.4.tar.gz, but I still get the same message. Any ideas, hints, magic incantations? Cheers.

I think you are in right track.

Either installation did not go well for some reason, or wrong version. another possibility is incomplete package.

Dending on your distribution you may have a software package management application like YaST or emerge or yum or apt. If you have such a package available you should see if the application that you want to install is available through your distribution's installation software. Generally you won't get the latest version of whatever you want to install but the distribution developers put a lot of work into ensuring that the versions of software are compatible with their distribution.
