Pulseaudio volume always resets itself to less than 100%

I mainly notice this happening with youtube. Whenever I open a youtube video and start playing it, then open pavucontrol, the volume for that output stream is set to 80% or something. If I put it back to 100% then it resets again if I manually change position in the video or open another video.

Any idea how I can stop this from happening so it stays at 100% volume? I do remember messing with the pulseaudio config a long time ago because I was getting no sound in a game. When that didn't work out I ended up downloading someone else's config and I think that's what I'm using now.

Pulse allows setting a default volume. You have to remove this setting.

Okay, thanks. I didn't see such an option in pavucontrol, but I think I found it in /etc/pulse/default.pa:

Code:
### Automatically restore the volume of streams and devices
#load-module module-device-restore
#load-module module-stream-restore
#load-module module-card-restore
I commented them out and it seems to have done the trick.
