Problems running Compiz on KDE, SUSE 10.1

Hello.

Before getting to the point, my system specs: Pentium 4 - 3.00 GHz, NVIDIA GeForce 6200, 1.48 GB RAM. Running SUSE Linux 10.1 with KDE 3.5

As stated in the title, I'm having problems running Compiz on KDE. Whenever I run "compiz" on a terminal I get the following output:
Code:
compiz: Trying '/usr/$LIB/libIndirectGL.so.1'
ERROR: ld.so: object '/usr/$LIB/libIndirectGL.so.1' from LD_PRELOAD cannot be preloaded: ignored.
compiz (core) - Error: Screen 0 on display ":0.0" already has a window manager; try using the --replace option to replace the current window manager.
compiz (core) - Fatal: No manageable screens found on display :0.0
Apparently, the problem is that Compiz is not set as the window manager... however, when I run "compiz --replace cc &", I get the same error about libIndirectGL.so.1. Then, all windows on my desktop lose their decoration, and eventually the system crashes.

Also, xgl is working; I know that because I have window transparency and shadowing enabled.

Any ideas on how to solve this problem?

Thanks, in advance.

Have you installed the Nvidia drivers? If not try

http://www.suse.de/~sndirsch/nvidia-...ler-HOWTO.html

Once the drivers are installed, check your 3D acceleration by pressing Alt+F2 and entering glxgears - you should see three rotating gears in a small box - they should be rotating smoothly if hardware acceleration is working.

Hello.

Yes, I have installed the NVIDIA drivers.

3D acceleration is enabled and running well. I ran glxgears as you said, and the gears were rotating smoothly.
