permission denied error


hello
i want run xfce4 "session and srartup setting" from setting in desktop menu (right click on desktop) this error will be appear :
Xfce Settings Manager error:
No such plugin "session"
if i type the command to run it in terminal with :
[root@localhost ~]# /usr/local/share/applications/xfce-session-settings.desktop

this error will be appear :
[root@localhost ~]# bash: /usr/local/share/applications/xfce-session-settings.desktopermission denied

why this error appear?
i use root user in xfce4.2.3.2

The second error is because that file is not an executable file. It is a descriptive text file.

You can find the actual program to run by running:
grep Exec /usr/local/share/applications/xfce-session-settings.desktop

You can try running the output from that in your terminal. Perhaps you need to install the "session" plugin? This may be available in your package manager as xfce-session or xfce4-session.

Also, running as root is not a good idea.

i installed xfce4-session . when i run the Exec file ( xfce-setting-show session) this error appear :Xfce Settings Manager error:
No such plugin "session"
(such az running from menu )
