PekWM issues with panels and fullscreen flash

Hi Everyone,

I've been mesing around with a bunch of WMs lately and am revisiting PekWM after ditching it a while back due to the same issue I'm having now. PekWM, like Openbox, does not include a panel by default, so if you want want one you need to seek a third party. I've found several decent options, but regardless of which one I use, I run into a weird issue when putting web-based flash videos in full screen (ie. YouTube).

In Openbox, using the same panel (and panel config files), I can put flash videos into full screen without any issues. However, in PekWM, when I put into full screen, the panel stays on top and I get a task bar item titled "Unkown".

My guess is that this is either a) a symptom of the known EWMH compliance issues with PekWM or b) something I'm missing with the autoproperties configuration. Has anyone else run into this issue and/or resolved it?

Thanks in advance for any tips!

I've been playing around a bit more and I think the issue is that PekWM simply doesn't know what the window *is* when the flash plugin goes into full screen mode. Like there's a WM hint coming from the flash plugin that PekWM doesn't recognize.

The revised symptom here really appears to be that PekWM is treating full screen flash videos as maximized windows instead of full screen windows. I can put other apps into full screen mode with no problems, so there's likely something specific about the full screen flash windows that other WM's have picked up on, but PekWM hasn't.

This is mostly speculation based on minimal testing/troubleshooting, so if anyone else has experienced this, I'd be interested to hear if this is a common problem or not. I may take this up with the PekWM team directly and see if it's a "bug".
