Patching question

I was just handed a desktop which has no network connection. And it is not possible to connect it to any other server to patch this server. It is Red Hat Enterprise Desktop V5.5. It's bare metal install that has not had any patches installed. I need to bring this desktop up to date with patches. When navigating the Red Hat support site I only see individual patches. Is there the equivalent of a Solaris Recommended Patch Cluster for Red Hat?

Hi

You might try posting this question in the "red hat sub forum" in the "linux distro forum" for a better chance of a good response.

I have just been learning to use my package manager ( pacman ) to check for up dates accross the whole system and then install any that it finds using the command .... pacman -Syu. Maybe your package manager (RPM) has a similar command. Try a google search on RPM.

Good luck
