Patching

Hello,

How can I download only redhat 6.6 security Patches (criticals if possible) for my offline system.

I can list all installed security Patches with
# yum update info list security all

However I tried the command below to download security Patches to a specific directory.

# yum update -- security --downloadonly --downloaddir=/opt/
Error meassage no package available

Am currently paying subscription with redhat and want to build a localrepo with only security Patches to update offline system.

thank you

This is simply not working. I will be greatful of your input thank you
Saying "simply not working", tells us nothing. What was the exact error message you got? And you will only get patches/updates/fixes from Red Hat, if you pay for Red Hat and/or have your system registered. Are you paying, and is your system registered? If so...contact Red Hat support, and ask them.

Your duplicate of this post has been reported.
Please review the forum rules.

As has been said, you need to contact RedHat support with your question.
If you don't have a subscription with RedHat, then the answer to your question is: You can't

@test13

The free version of RHEL 6 is "Redhat CentOS 6".
Current is RHEL 6.10 / CentOS 6.10 !
... You may not be able to use all updates :
Version 6.6 was issued 5 years ago, i.e. too long time / huge differences in package versions.
