I just upgraded to Fedora 13 from Fedora 12. I have fluxbox set up with my background image in the overlay file. I have some key bindings to start xcompmgr on command and kill it. When I start up xcompmgr, my background reverts to the background at the gdm login. The workaround at the moment seems to be to use feh to set the background image. That doesn't seem to be affected by xcompmgr. Anybody have any ideas why xcompmgr and the overlay settings on fluxbox are not playing well together. I didn't see this issue in my previous setup on Fedora 12, and I copied my .fluxbox directory back into my new home directory exactly as before.
Below is my overlay file.
Code:
background: none
background: flat gradient elliptic
background.pixmap: /home/michael/Pictures/solar_green.png
background.color: #1C232E
background.colorTo: #12233F
And here are the options that I run on xcompmgr.
Code:
xcompmgr -fF -I-.004 -O-.004 -D2 -cC -t-4 -l-6 -r6
Here is an added xcompmgr question. I usually use gnome-terminal, and the icon shown in the title bar on fluxbox is usually okay, but when I start xcompmgr, it looks like someone scrambled it.
Thanks,
Michael
