os x like effects (hot corners) for linux?
hi guys. i used os x for about a year before gnu linux, and one thing i miss is the ability to,
move the cursor to a prealigated corner of the screen and it will activate expose, and a different prealigated corner displays the work spaces up on the screen in a similar fashion. i've heard of compoze but the effect is nothing to me without the hot corners. so is this effect possible on gnu linux, with kde, xfce, trinnity or gnome2.x? |
Yes, that is part of Compiz. You can configure what corners of the screen start which effects, one of which being Expose.

Yes KDE 4.x definetely has that feature. Just go to System Settings -> Workspace Behaviour -> Screen Edges

Is there any way to make these hot spots a little more sensitive, because i find they're not as responsive as i'd like. |
You might have some luck looking in kde.bugs.org, I remember someone asking for that feature not so long ago, unfortunately I didn't care about that conversation and I don't know how it developed.

Knightron thank you so much for your post. I came searching on Google and there was your solution. So often the threads on boards like this don't have any conclusion documented once the OP is satisfied. I registered on this site just to thank you. :)
