Nvidia installation error: development tool `cc`

Hi all,

I wanted to get NVidia driver installed to get Beryl up and
running. I use this "tutorial"

http://fedoranews.org/cms/node/2852

Im running on a newly installed Fedora 7 with a Winfast A7600GT

When I exit Gnome and type "sh NVIDIA-Linux-x86-1.0-9755-pkg1"
It cant proceed due to a:

ERROR: Unable to find the development tool `cc` in your
path; please make sure that you have the package
'gcc' installed. If gcc is installed on your
system, then please check that `cc` is in your PATH.

So I went to the add/remove software to add some liberies but not
sure how to check if you got it installed and how to find the path to cc ?

Anyone know the way around this one ?

thanks in advance

Tadeusz

Install the gcc package.

gcc is the preprocessor. cc is the actual c compiler.

Normally, gcc and gcc++ will be dependencies installed when installing kernel-devel package which is required for compiling the nvidia module.
