Question Nvidia 8600GTS + Iiyama Prolite 82403WS Default Resolution

Hi there. I have a Gigabyte Nvidia 8600GTS + Iiyama Prolite B2403WS monitor. When Fedora 8 boots, the graphical boot screen is at the native screen resolution (1920x1200). How ever, after I login, the default resolution drops to 1280x1024. I can use the NVidia applet to change it back to the full res, but does anyone know how to change the default ?
Appropriate parts of xorg.conf:

Section "Monitor"
Identifier "Monitor0"
VendorName "Iiyama"
ModelName "PLB2403WS"
HorizSync 30.0 - 83.0
VertRefresh 56.0 - 76.0
Option "DPMS"

Section "Device"
Identifier "Videocard0"
Driver "nvidia"
VendorName "NVIDIA Corporation"
BoardName "GeForce 8600 GTS"
Option "AddARGBGLXVisuals" "True"

Section "Screen"
Identifier "Screen0"
Device "Videocard0"
Monitor "Monitor0"
DefaultDepth 24
Option "TwinView" "0"
Option "metamodes" "nvidia-auto-select +0+0; 1920x1200_60 +0+0; 1152x864 +0+0; 1024x768 +0+0; 832x624 +0+0; 800x600 +0+0; 640x480 +0+0"
SubSection "Display"
Depth 24
Modes "nvidia-auto-select +0+0" "1920x1200_60"

Doesn't work

Hi, thanks for your reply. I had tried that, but it doesn't make any difference the next time I log in. A different user that I created on this PC logs in with the default of the 1920x1200 res. So there must be something in the session that is controlling it. Is there a Gnome resolution preference?
