Unhappy no Gnome!!

well today when i was botting my pc in linux, there was a power failure so my pc was off

abubtly.
now the problem is GNOME isn'nt running however x-server is running fine without any

probelms. after logging in(i tried both in root & as a normal user) with fail-safe gnome &

terminal only gnome. both say there is no gnome insatllion but this can-not be the cause.
b'cos there a windows manager runninf called "twm" which gives me three apps

1)term(without any menu bar in it)
2)firefox
3)xclock

all the gnome apps are runnning like calculator,Desktop, nautilus etc. but all these come

only when i call them through term.in short every gnome part is running as a compenant but

not as a package as a whole.things would be more clear with this screenshot.

if any details i have missed pls post below
distro:fedore core 5

Try renaming the hidden ~/.gnome, .gnome2 and .gnome2_private directories.

Example; mv .gnome .gnome_username

Then try again.
