NFS mount with Thunar

Anyone using Thunar with NFS mounts? I've followed the instructions in the Arch wiki and I'm not getting anywhere....

Tried on a couple of different machines, on two different networks. In both cases, I've modified /etc/fstab following the Arch wiki instructions. So I have an entry that looks like this:

Code:
tarus:/home/files/data-1/stor /mnt/nfsshare nfs noauto,user,_netdev,bg 0 0
Thunar is installed along with Gvfs-nfs, the mount point exists. However, no shortcut is created in Thunar, and if I double-click on the /mnt/nfsshare directory, nothing happens at all. I have no problem mounting the share from the command line and then accessing it from Thunar, but I was hoping to avoid the command line use in this case.

I'm hoping someone has set this up successfully and can tell me where I've gone wrong....

Use the systemd 'x-systemd.automount' option....
Code:
tarus:/home/files/data-1/stor /mnt/nfsshare nfs noauto,x-systemd.automount,user,_netdev,bg 0 0
https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php...t_with_systemd

Specifically...

Remote filesystem

The same applies to remote filesystem mounts. If you want them to be mounted only upon access, you will need to use the noauto,x-systemd.automount parameters. In addition, you can use the x-systemd.mount-timeout= option to specify how long systemd should wait for the mount command to finish. Also, the _netdev option ensures systemd understands that the mount is network dependent and order it after the network is online.

noauto,x-systemd.automount,x-systemd.mount-timeout=30,_netdev
See how that goes.

Thanks for the suggestion. Tried that, also added x-systemd.mount-timeout=30 to my fstab entry. Still fails... In the past I've used autofs for similar things, but the system where I wanted this to work seamlessly has never liked autofs for some reason.

I guess I'll have to keep looking.
