set up wicd and understand why it shows my wireless connections but doesnt asks for a password =X i cant connect any... tips? i tried nm applet but the result was even worse hehe..im connected on wire stuff right now to write the post...
also how do i set up bluetooth, should i use blueman and bluez ? how to put it on the tray icon?
Is there any tool that is capable of configure keyboard and touchpad using the gui? im gonna install openbox on my dad's computer too and make all out of the box for him...
Show pendrive list on tray and also auto mount when something is inserted on usb..?
update: wicd patched on aur repo made the trick! now i need to fix bluetooth and dpi, how do i do it? any help would be lovely, also keyboard and touchpad configs would be awesome
Tried set up xrandr --dpi 125 on autostart.sh and no results.
Which autostart file are you using? in order for it to work you'll have to use the one in ~/.config/openbox . If you don't have this in your home folder copy the files from /etc/xdg/openbox to ~/.config/openbox.
also use openbox-session to start so autostart gets run. here is a great resource https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/openbox
Another thing is the icons on the desktop are controlled by your file manager I like rox for this since one setting makes it makes it easy to pass mouse clicks to openbox(for your right-click menu) But some file managers are a little harder.
Auto mounting in a totally different subject, most file managers to this automatically, another option is to add a rule to udev.
The easiest way to set this all up when you log in is of course ~/.config/openbox/autostart
Hope this helps, I like openbox because you can customize almost everything to your liking if you take a little time to figure it out.
