I tried with some live releases:
- an older Mint version
- Debian Live (latest)
- Knoppix (I think 7.x - burnt maybe month or two ago)
- Lubuntu (due to the PAE, year or two old release, I think).

Only Debian-derivatives (I already had the older MINT and Knoppix disks).
I don't remember the release of the older Mint or Lubuntu.

The touchpad is still a bit "restless".
