mainly schroot (also some nvidia)

Hello,

I am trying to use schroot. I can successfully start kdm in a schroot and use the desktop but dri and 3d imaging fails.

I'm running a kernel compiled for nvidia and this all runs fine (dri, 3d) when not in schroot. How can I get dri to work in schroot?

I get this error message:
Code:

Error: API mismatch: the NVIDIA kernel module has version 169.12,
but this NVIDIA driver component has version 96.43.05.  Please make
sure that the kernel module and all NVIDIA driver components
have the same version.
NVIDIA: Direct rendering failed; attempting indirect rendering.

I tried the copying -r all the modules from the regular intstall to /var/chroot/version/lib etc but that just hosed the 3d ability and made some of the 32 bit libraries disappear.

I'd like to use the nvidia installer in schroot to set things right but that fails. Thoughts?

I'd like to completely run X from schroot -no X in the regular login - is this possible?
