Smile LXQt and Budgie

You may have been said, which Solus has announced the next version of their Budgie to switch to Qt, do you think Solus aims their Budgie to be a wm, a screensaver, even a dm w/o KF deps for LXQt, hence a possibility merging with LXQt, just like Razor wm 3y ago?

I would definitely classify Budgie as a desktop environment, albeit a relatively light-weight one.

I've heard Ikey on the Late Night Linux podcast. Although he has not spoken directly to your question, the impression I get from how he talks about Solus and Budgie is that he is committed to Budgie as its own project.

Now LXQt is still lacked of its official wm, unlike kwin (KDE), Metacity / Mutter (GNOME), Muffin (Cinnamon), Marco (MATE), Xfwm (Xfce), if Budgie needs to be the one for LXQt it does feel and look nice to us, esp if you are enough of Gtk+.
