Question lxc ... xf86OpenConsole: Cannot open virtual console 9 (Operation not permitted)


Hi,

I am trying to make X start in lxc container (ubuntu 14.04 host and guest) but I have got stuck with error:
(EE) xf86OpenConsole: Cannot open virtual console 9 (Operation not permitted)
I have tryed to reinstall xserver-xorg-core package which should help according to
https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=38633 , but it did not.

Could please somebody help me to investigate how to set it up ?

$ sudo startx -- :9 vt9 # how i start it in lxc container

ls -l /usr/bin/Xorg
-rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 2331808 Apr 16 15:38 /usr/bin/Xorg

ls -l /dev/tty9
crw------- 1 root tty 4, 9 Jun 4 11:24 /dev/tty9

/var/log/Xorg.9.log contains:

Try it once like this.

$ sudo startx -- :9 vt9 >& $HOME/vtfail.log
And post the contents of vtfail.log in your home directory
