Lubuntu PPC 13.04 trouble installing on iBook G4

Hi, On a Mac iBook G4 1.2ghz 1.25GB ram I can't boot Lubuntu 13.04 PPC DVD or Lubuntu 13.10 PPC DVD, same with Kubuntu. I have been able to install both Lubuntu and kubuntu 12.04 PPC using the install DVD, and the DVD boots and installs. Both work well except for the Airpot Exreem card (Broadcom chipset).

When I try to boot 13.04 PPC DVD or 13.10 PPC DVD, The DVD starts to boot up and after a long period of the boot process it stops with the following line:

[91.543008] Fixing recusive fault but reboot is needed!

It then states press any key to reboot, upon doing so the iBook reboots only to repeat the above.

this was tried as of 01-10-2014 with new downloads of both Lubuntu PPC and Kubuntu PPC

Any Help would be appreciated.
Thanks, acantony

Welcome to LQ !

It is recommended to stick with the version 12.04 because it does have the LTS(long term support) it will last until 2017.

Now to get the Broadcom card to work you have to manualy install the driver/firmware.
In the terminal type:

Code:
sudo apt-get install broadcom-sta-common
That should take care of the problem.

Regards
