Maybe some more information from you would help us understand your problem so we could help you.

1. Have you checked your "Printer Properties" to make sure that the HP Laser Jet P2015d printer is the printer on local host?

Can you give us a screenshot of the 'Printer Properties?'

2. The information from:

Code:
~$inxi -Fxz
3. Did you install 'cups?' Give us the information from:

Code:
~$lpstat -r
and

Code:
~$lpstat -t

4. Give us the information from the CUPS error log:

Code:
~$ /var/log/cups/error

Too bad the OP didn't bother to respond. Probably got it working and probably doesn't know that etiquette demands that he let you know. Or that other people might find the solution useful. At any rate I found your response extremely useful. I have never knownn how to troubleshoot Linux printer problems and I have had plenty of them in the past when I bought HP printers. I have bookmarked this page in case I run into another problem in the future. Thank you!

I stopped buying HP and now just use a Japanese brand of laser printers. End of problems. The company provides Linux binary drivers (proprietary but who cares!) that have always worked.
