linux access to "go to meeting" presentations
Does anyone know how a linux workstation user (Ubuntu Jaunty or Lucid) might join and participate in GoToMeeting.com(tm) presentations?

Have you asked the people who run GoToMeeting? (Citrix, if I remember the radio ads correctly)
I was pleasantly surprised to discover that Cisco at least claims Linux support for WebEx. I have not used it a lot, so I have not fully tested that claim. |
I don't think GoToMeeting functions under Linux. Every time I've tried to connect, it keeps claiming that my system is unsupported and then stops. Webex does allow Linux clients, but with limited functionality. You can't share applications or your desktop, you can only view meetings. GoToMeeting is one of the reasons I have to keep a Windows machine around.
On the more obscure side, DimDim does seem to support full Linux sharing and Yugma claims that it is on their to-do list. |

Yugma seems to have gotten the linux part done, using Java. If I remember correctly, I could control computers with my Linux workstation using GoToMyPC, but could not 'share' my desktop. For me, the control was the important part. just saying.. Landis. |
They may have a web viewer also.
May work under wine. The fully supported meeting is teamviewer if you can't get that to work. Or at least it was working for me a few months ago. |

Yeah, a lot has changed in the last 4 years. DimDim was bought by Salesforce, which meant the end of them and their Linux venture. Yugma's Linux support is apparently in perpetual beta. To be honest, I kind of gave up on any of the Webex/Go-To-Meeting replacements on linux. They were all more painful than me just keeping a Windows machine around and using one of them. |
