Lancelot - New KDE4 Start Menu/Program Launcher - is really good.
I just wanted to share my thoughts on Lancelot I just tried. Lancelot is KDE4 alternative program launcher (instead of Kickoff or traditional KDE3 style one).
Seems to be really good - very customizable (in good KDE tradition), easy navigation (I never got used to Kickoff's constant sliding), search and option to have everything either as one button or 4 separate ones (programs, places, docs and computer). A few other good things but you can check it out for yourselves. In Kubuntu do 'sudo apt-get install plasmoid-lancelot'. KDE4 is shaping up to be a great desktop. What do you guys think? |
I'm using it on Arch and really enjoying it so far. The only thing I didn't liked much is that when you press the default shortcut (Alt + F5), it shows up in the middle of the screen.
I used xbindkeys and qdbus to place it near the button, so it's perfect til now. :) |
