KWin Desktop Cube - Configuring hovering windows?

Hey there, everyone. I've been wondering if there's a way to configure how far away from the cube the windows hover in KDE's KWin. I remember in Fedora 14 with GNOME that it was possible to configure the hovering windows distance. For some background information, I'm currently running Slackware 13.1 64-bit with KDE 4.4.

There doesn't seem to be an option to configure the distance of the hovering windows effect, and as a result I'm refraining from using it. I have the desktop cube set rather far away, and because of this the windows don't hover anywhere close to the actual cube. This ends up creating an inconvenient and awkward-looking effect that I'm frankly better off without. So, is there any way to make the windows hover closer to the cube's surface, or is this beyond the ability of KWin?

Just use compiz instead.
