KOrganizer FreeBusy calendar publishing to a Samba share?

In my office we have a Samba share to publish and retrieve each employee's Free and Busy calendar information. On the Windows machines this is set up easily:
file://x:/office/FreeBusy/%NAM%.vfb
where X is the Network Drive mapped location.

KOrganizer has this feature too, but I cannot figure out how to publish or retrieve my vfb info, nor other users'.
smb://sambax.work/public/office/FreeBusy/leftycrupps.vfb
doesn't seem to work, nor does trying to trick it by posting to a local 'file' which actually links to the server.

Does anyone know if this is possible?
