Question konqueror's bookmark menu entry too small

For quite a long time, for my account konqueror's bookmark menu entry has emaciated. Instead of "Lesezeichen" (german) just "ezeic" can be read. I know, things could be worse by far - but nevertheless: it sucks :-)

Its shortcut (Alt+L), however, still works. Therefore it just seems to be a layout problem.

KDE version is 4.6.5 on debian/testing.

As other users on the same machine get a regular menu, it has to be some personal setting, so I hopefully tried to move .kde/share/config/konquerorrc away (after 'killall konqueror' of course) ... but that did not change anything, after konqueror started again.

The same applied to ~/.kde/share/config/kglobalshortcutsrc.

Any ideas where else to look?

It does sound as if something's gone squirrelly in your configuration files.

The drastic way would be to move or rename the entire .kde directory, log out, and let it be recreated on login.

Before doing that I would suggesting exporting the bookmarks to a file (Bookmarks-->Edit Bookmarks-->File-->Export). Indeed, you might try exporting them, then deleting them from Konqueror, and importing them back before doing anything more drastic.

If that resolves the problem, you can move the old items back in place one at a time, logging out and logging in between each move, to identify the culprit. Or simply import your old bookmarks and forge ahead.
