knetworkmanager applet has no systray icon: just screen coruption
Just recently I installed Kbuntu Lucid Linx on my laptop. I'ts a nice enviroment, but I also installed window maker for the times that I need more performace (the diference is huge, incidentaly). However, when I'm loged on using window maker and I start the system tray using plasmoidviewer the knetworkmanager icon is just screen corruption. It works fine, so long as you can find the icon to click it. I did wonder if the --icon option would solve this, but it only affects the window, not the sytem tray. I've also noticed that kmix (when I use it) does the same thing, which makes me wonder it there is a background deamon that hands out icons (kthemed?).
I tryed googling for a solution, but all the results are irelivent. Does anyone here know how this works, and where to start looking? |
