Kmenu does not save my settings?

For some reason when i try to change what applications should appear on the kmenu, these changes are not saved and my menu stays the same.
I tried the same as root and the menu doesn't change, what could possibly be causing this?

thanks for all the help.

Are you talking about the main menu of Kde? If yes, then did you fill in the "command" text box and then click the "save button" on the top left corner? If works for me.

Would you be presenting the screenshot of the menu editor here (with the text boxes filled)?, let me try here the same.
