Keyboard shortcut to switch between screens in Gnome?

Hello,

There is an external monitor connected to my laptop. The laptop screen and the external monitor are each set to independent workspaces. Is there a keyboard shortcut to switch between the screens (monitors)?

In other words, ctrl-alt-right, ctrl-alt-left switch between the workspaces on the currently active screens. I would like a keyboard shortcut to switch between the screens.

I haven't been able to find any information on this, so I suspect this is not be possible.

Note: I can move the mouse from one screen to the next, but I cannot drag-and-drop open windows between the two. If both monitors could be configured as one large seamless workspace, there would be no need for the keyboard shortcut.

This is a Dell Latitude D620 with Ubuntu 10.04Beta1 running Gnome 2.30.0 Build 3/31/2010. The NVidia proprietary drivers are installed.

Thanks,
-opc

I think when you connect to an external monitor to a laptop running Linux (I use Fedora) it assumes that you are going to do a presentation. You might want to play around with System->Preferences->Display

Gnome Desktop
System>Preferences>Keyboard Shortcuts>Windows Management>Switch to workspace #

Ah so...I will play around with those settings.

Thanks!
