I recently had to re-install my PCLinuxOS from a remastered dvd. After I re-booted my desktop suddenly reverted from KDE4 to KDE3.5 including the KDE panel at the bottom of the screen. Worst of all I had Mandriva icons on my desktop and a pop-up window urging me to upgrade to the Power Pack which Mandriva offers. A few minutes after booting up another prompt appears notifying me that a newer version of Mandriva is available and that I should upgrade my install. All of my KDE4 options and settings are still accessible except that I can no longer configure a KDE4 desktop. Unfortunately the PCLinuxOS website got hacked and has been down for over 24 hours and I cannot post this problem on that forum. I'm hoping that someone on LQ can help solve my problems. Thanks in advance.
