KDE not pairing with Ubuntu 20.04 machine
I installed the KDE Connect app on my Galaxy J7 cell running system 7.1.1. I also installed gsconnectandyholmes.github.io.v43.shell-extension.zip file on my Ubuntu 20.04 machine. But they won't pair. My phone recognizes my computer, but it won't pair when I tap on my computer's listing under "Available Devices." Each time I attempt to pair them, I get "Timed Out" notification.
I then tried the method found at https://www.makeuseof.com/tag/kde-co...android-linux/ specifically entering these commands in a terminal: sudo add-apt-repository ppa:vikoadi/ppaStill no success. Can anyone recommend a fix? Thanks, Scott |
Probably a firewall: https://userbase.kde.org/KDEConnect#...see_each_other AFAIR ubuntu 20.04 uses ufw.
