KDE automount leaves windows on all users' desktop
Running KDE3 on Debian Lenny, I have a slightly annoying problem (not fatal) that I've been trying to resolve. Whenever someone plugs in a USB key or drops a CD/DVD in, the KDE automounter asks what to do with it (Open in new window, etc). The problem is that this notification shows up on every logged in users' desktop.
So if I walk away and my wife has been working on the machine and plugging stuff in and out, when I come back, there might be three "ghost" windows left from KDE's prompts.
Same thing if I plug something in. I would disable the automount feature and just do it from the cli, but I can't really explain this to my wife. So I'd like to keep automounting, but have it only prompt the user who plugs it in. Any ideas? I've googled around a bit but just can't seem to get the right combination of terms. I'm sure I'm not the first with this issue...
