KDE 5.8.3 OpenSUSE Leap 42.2

I use Kmail (5.3.0)to manage my e-mail. (It works for me) In previous versions of KDE and Kmail, when a message in the preview pane had a link in it, I could (left) click the link and the URL would open in my default web browser--chrome. This no longer works. I now have to right click the link and select "open URL" from the context menu. How can I configure the left mouse button to open the URL? I tried "configure mouse actions" and set the left mouse button to "Application Launcher", but that does not solve the problem.

Thanks,

Mark

Have you tried setting the default browser via System Settings?

System Settings > Applications > Default Applications > Web Browser

Try adding the following to ~/.kde/share/config/kdeglobals
Code:
[General]
BrowserApplication[$e]=!google-chrome
It should take effect next time you log back in.

Sorry, that should have been ~/.kde4/share/config/kdeglobals
