KDE 4 kicker with icons not names

Hey,

I have been looking to get my kde4 desktop to behave like the osx dock, or even the new windows 7 task bar. I much prefer having the main panel short and tidy, rather than having to be stretched accross the bottom of my screen so that all the windows i have open can have their descriptions showing. I would much rather prefer it to just have a firefox icon for my open FF and OOwriter icon for my OOwriter and so on, much like the osx dock.
I have tried, and came to a hault with sever solution from google, besin, wbar, enagage dock.
The eye candy would be nice, but even just to get started, does anyone have, or use a solution to this, so that i dont have the minimzied windows all squeezed side by side, and just have simple icons on the bar for all the programmes i have open.

Regards

Ryan

There's the Fancy Task widget, it's very much like the osx dock, configurable via the right click. Or the Smooth Task widget that you can also configure by right clicking and selecting how it shows running tasks.

Hey thanks for this. Both of these look great. I have just upgraded from to kde 4.4 rc1 and neither of these seem to work with it yet, but i have them and waiting for support!! looks great, exactly what i was hoping for.

Thank you very much
