KDE 4.1.1 Intermittent Active Window Selection Issue

Hi.

I'm using KDE 4.1.1 on OpenSuSE 11.0. I am often unable to select the active window that I want. A mouse click or drag will often act upon the previous active window rather than the one which I would expect to be under the mouse focus. A common symptom is to accidently resize a background window instead of minimising the foreground window. Often, this can be fixed by clicking the middle mouse button followed by the left button on the desired window to gain focus then resizing / minimising / closing the correct window. This never occurs straight after login, but often after an hour or so, when several windows are open.

Is this a feature that I don't know about, or is there something that I can do to alter the behaviour?

Thanks,

Mike.
